Goodness - Soaking Worship Ambient Prayer

Hi,

Today's session was so full of hope, and it was such a pleasure to dwell in the presence of God and sing about His goodness. I kept hearing this line in my head: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

After the session, I wondered where that came from in Scripture. I looked it up and found it in Psalm 27. That’s amazing because, just yesterday, a group of friends and I were focusing on Psalm 27, marvelling at it. It’s a psalm of David, written nearly 3,000 years ago, yet it still speaks so powerfully today.

When you feel like people are against you, when you're in turmoil, or when you're being accused of things that aren’t true, you can still declare that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

I also want to share this beautiful verse from the psalm—verse 4:

"One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble, He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His sacred tent and set me high upon a rock."

That’s my prayer for you today. That’s our prayer for all of us—that we will know God’s presence and the safety of His covering as we face trials.
