Hey guys,

Today, we've been focusing again on being still, waiting, and seeking the face of God. I've been doing some research on the original Hebrew words related to waiting, being still, and seeking God’s face. I came across something new in Psalm 25, where it says, Be still and know that I am God. Interestingly, the translation of being still actually means to surrender or give up. So, being still isn’t a passive act—it’s an active choice. It’s about saying, I choose to be still so that my spirit can truly know that You are God.

Life has been full on here, and I’m sure many of you have busy lives too. But the discipline of being still and praying, God, help me to be still, is so important. That’s one of the key prayers for today—Help me to be still so that I may know You are God. It’s about surrendering again, giving everything up, and acknowledging, God, I cannot do life without You. I cannot do my daily work without You. I cannot be a gift to the world without You. I need You to meet me in my weakness, in the moments where I struggle.

So right now, I choose to be still—to be still so that I know You are God. I really hope and pray this encourages you today. If you’re struggling to be still, I pray this will be a help to you, guiding you as you wait on Him.

And just as a reminder, the Hebrew word for wait actually means to be bound up or entwined with the Spirit of God. So, as we wait on Him, our spirit is renewed because we are entwined with Him.

Blessings!
